Current parents & friends, as well as 2016 parents & friends are invited to attend the following event:
WHAT: Classroom Volunteer Training
WHO:
- Parent/guardian of a child at this school.
- Grandparent or relative of a child at this school.
- Community member who wishes to volunteer time.
- Student teacher looking for extra experience.
WHERE: In the school hall.
WHEN: Next Tuesday 1st September at 2.30-3.15pm.
2016 Prep Parents please note, this session will run at the same time as the transition session for 2016 prep students.
WHY: Any parents/guardians/friends who would like to help in the classroom during Literacy sessions must attend an induction training session. This will provide you with information regarding both the legal and confidential aspects of working in a school environment and how to be of assistance to the classroom teacher and students.
EXTRA NOTES: Prior to working in the classroom, you will also be required to obtain a “Working With Children’s Check,” present a copy of this to the school and the school will keep a register of all attendees at the training session.
