A Time to Reflect

International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated around the world on the 8th of March and is a day to reflect on how far we have come and how far we still have to go to really achieve gender equality.  With strong links back to the Women’s movements in England, America and Russia in the early 1900’s, much has changed, yet sadly today in many countries, women continue to be oppressed.  In Australia, we still have much to do to stamp out violence against women and improve financial equality.

It is a day to remember the significance of the women in all our lives and to celebrate the social, cultural and political achievements of women, while also ensuring we continue to progress towards gender equality.

Have a great International Women’s Day.
