On Sunday February 17th, Toorak Primary School will be joining local schools in supporting Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision at the Maddie’s Shield Celebrity T20 Cricket. Gate’s open at 9:30am, with a celebrity cricket match being played at Toorak Park from 11am which is sure to be entertaining. At 2:45pm the BBL final will be televised live on the big screen.
In the afternoon, Toorak Primary will be hosting a cake stall, with all proceeds being returned to Toorak Primary School’s fundraising efforts of a shaded area over the basketball and assembly area to provide some protection from wet/hot weather.
Cake Stall Baking and Preparation
Calling all bakers! We need LOTS of delicacies to sell at our gorgeous cake stall! Cakes! Slices! Biscuits! Lebkuchen! Kourabiethes! Cuccidati! Ghoraiybah! Manju! Mbatata! Lets showcase our diversity with treats from around the world! Baking packs with wrapping materials and instructions will be available at the front office for you to collect from Week Two. All baked goods need to be HOME MADE and not require refrigeration. They need to be delivered to the school kitchen on Friday 15 February, from 9am.
We would appreciate some student and parent helpers to assist in the running of the stall on the day. If you are able to help at the Cake Stall, which runs from 2:30pm to 6:00pm, please register your interest via this link or the sign up sheet in the school administration foyer.
There will also be a cupcake decorating competition for students with three age categories; Prep – 2, Grades 3 and 4, and Grades 5 and 6. If your child/ren enjoy decorating cupcakes and would like to enter, please let Mrs. Milligan know by Friday 8th February, via the school email address. The decorating theme for the cupcakes is Summer of Cricket.
Tickets, to the cricket match, are currently available for purchase at mrv.org.au ; $5 per child, $10 per adult and $30 per family with gate sale tickets going to Maddie’s Vision.
