Final 2018 PE and Sport Update

Thanks to all the teachers, office staff and staff at TPS, parents, friends, coaches, students, helpers and leaders who have helped run the PE Department at TPS this year. It is very much appreciated.

Softball State Champions
Congratulations to our 5/6 girls softball team who took out the State Final a couple of weeks ago. It was a result of much dedication and training throughout the year. Thank you to Josephine and Mr Patterson who were recognised at assembly for their coaching and expertise throughout the year. We look forward to training another cohort of senior students in softball and tee-ball next year! Thank you also to Kylie S who plays for Victorian Softball who came in on four Mondays through the Sporting Schools grant. She gave us her first ever tee ball bat that we will use next year.

South Yarra Mixed versus Toorak Girls

We had a wonderful morning last week when South Yarra primary students came to our school and we hosted a game of basketball. The girls remain undefeated, winning 31 to 27. It was great competition and well done to Emma Hoban who scored a 3 pointer from well behind the three-point line in the final moments of the game. Thanks to Stuart who was able to coach whilst being off-site with the use of technology! Great job by Brody and Charlie who refereed the game. And thanks to all the classes who came to watch, it was great for our students to play in front of 400 odd students, we definitely had the home game advantage with loud cheering from the crowd!
