The Foundation students are quickly finding their feet in their new learning spaces, making new friends and settling into classroom routines. The Prep students continue to bond with their buddies who join us regularly at eating times.
In Reading and Writing, we are starting to learn the individual alphabet letters and their sounds; we are covering the letters S, A, T and P this week. Currently we are working on snakes and apples art activities and soon tigers and pigs will decorate our rooms as we undertake further craft activities relating to each letter. We are also exploring shapes and the numbers one to five and beyond, in Numeracy.
The students have enjoyed meeting their French, Art, Music and Sports teachers. In our first library session, students learnt basic library etiquette and immersed themselves happily in picture books. The wobble chairs in the library were also a big hit!
