How Does It Work?
OZ SMILE utilizes the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) under Medicare, therefore dental treatments will be bulk billed and at no cost to children who are eligible for CDBS. Treatments include:
Dental Examinations Dental X – rays
Cleaning & Scaling Fluoride treatment
Fissure sealing Fillings
*The Child Dental Benefits Schedule is an Australian government, Department of Health program. Eligible children will have access to a benefit cap of $1,000 over a two calendar year period.
To be eligible a child must be aged between 2-17 years and their family must receive Family Tax Benefit Part A or a relevant Australian Government payment.
Oz Smiles’s main focus is to provide quality dental care which is convenient and hassle free. They have had excellent feedback from schools and parents on how beneficial and convenient their services are in promoting good dental health among children.
The Process :
1. Fill out and sign the consent. Click here for the consent form.
2. Oz Smile will contact Medicare to check child’s eligibility for the CDBS.
3. Oz Smile will schedule dental appointments for eligible children. The dates and times will be according to the convenience of the school.
4. Children will visit the mobile clinic on the day of their appointment.
5. They will be given dental treatments as required.
6. Parents will receive dental reports and advice at the end of their child’s dental treatments. Our dentist will personally contact parents if immediate attention is required.
Oz Smile are happy to arrange dental check-ups at a nominal cost, for children who are not eligible for CDBS and would like to avail their services.
