Girls Basketball

Toorak Primary girls have traditionally been very strong in basketball over the past decade and a half, winning many A-grade domestic Premierships, competing on four different occasions at State Grand Final Day for the Hooptime Interschool competition and many of our individual players have gone on to play representative basketball with the Melbourne Tigers.

Grade 1 is the usual starting age for domestic competition in our area (we have four Grade 1 teams this year and a Grade Prep boys team competing against Grade 1’s) so we are now in the process of forming a  team of girls who will be in grade 1 in 2019. As competition starts usually in the first week of school in Term 1 we are getting organised and ready now with some very basic skill and coordination training once a week in Term 4. If you’d like to be part of this please contact Stuart (dad of Emily and Caitlyn in Prep D) on 0437 779 883.
