Senior Girl’s Group visit to Darnlee
A few weeks ago our Senior Girl’s Group visited the very gorgeous local nursing home Darnlee in Lansell Rd Toorak. The girls and the residents thoroughly enjoyed their time together sharing stories, knitting together and sharing a delicious afternoon tea – scones with Jam and cream, made fresh by the chef especially for the visit.
This outing was a confirmation of the relationships the girls have built together simply by being together each week with a group of girls they probably would not normally have spent much time with. The girls learned how to knit and they did this very well! But they also learned much more than that – they learned about working together, appreciating each other, expressing themselves openly and honestly and having the space to just being themselves.
Congratulations and thank you to all the girls for being a part of what will continue to unfold in the years to come.
