Grade 3 IMAX and Melbourne Museum Experience

On Monday 4 December, Grade 3 students set out to the IMAX Theatre. Through a three-dimensional world, they experienced the story of Henry Bates in the Amazon. They learnt about how Henry discovered 8,000 new species and helped Charles Darwin with his theory of natural selection. It also gave students further insight into the flora and fauna of a rainforest and the species that can be found in those surroundings. After a quick lunch, the students roamed the Melbourne Museum to learn more about our dynamic earth and rainforest environments. And what visit wouldn’t be complete without a quick visit to the dinosaur exhibit! Thank you to the amazing volunteers for making the day possible.
