Principal Message

With the school review underway, a full day was devoted to the Toorak Primary School Validation Day last Wednesday. Panel members included Heather Norbury (School Reviewer), Stuart Andrews (SEIL), Julie Manallack, Tracy Skiba, Michelle Osborne, Aaron Cox (Challenge Partner) and Matthew Vines (Challenge Partner). Our goals and targets were closely analysed with classroom visits occurring throughout the day. Following indepth discussions, around the school’s performance over the past four years, Terms of Reference were developed to determine future directions for of Toorak Primary School. This Wednesday October 24th, the panel will return to undertake further Fieldwork. Teachers will form focus groups  to determine understandings of planning and using data to drive personalised learning in their classrooms. Student focus groups will centre around student voice, agency and leadership. The final school review day will take place on Wednesday October 31st.

I would like to remind all families accessing the school from Brookville Raod to use the supervised crossing. Currently school children and their families are crossing at various points along the road causing great concern for their safety. Please set a good example for all children by using the supervised crossing.

The annual Fashion Parade will take place in the school hall on Friday 26th. The Fashion Parade is always an evening of fun and frivolity. Thank you to Kylie Colville and her team of volunteers who ensure the success of the evening.
