Principal Message

Thank you to all to assisted at the Election Day stall last Saturday, especially Alicia Brown. Lena Weaver baked ginger bread houses which were a talking point on the day and into the week with the local community. Funds of approximately $3000 were raised from the Sausage Sizzle and cake stall. The Events, Fundraising and Marketing sub-committee of school council is currently seeking feedback on the next major project at Toorak Primary School. A suggestion of more shade around the school has been mentioned. With this in mind, funds raised will be funnelled into the new project. There will be further information around this topic next year.

I have finally had word that the current single level classroom will be relocated on Saturday December 8th. Construction of the new building will proceed soon after. The building company has been mindful to minimise disruption to the school’s operation which has been greatly appreciated. We are assured that the four new classrooms will be ready for occupancy on the first day of school next year. As far as I’m aware, the building works at Toorak Primary School will then be complete. We have been the recipient of eight years of improvements from both State and Federal Governments which has been a huge benefit for our school community. Enrolments into the future will require careful management.

Enjoy all that has been arranged over the next couple of weeks, to conclude the 2018 school year.
