Principal Message

With Winter upon us, the weather, typically has become cold and wet. Please ensure your children wear warm clothes so that they are well protected when playing in the school grounds on chilly days.

Literacy Week is progressing well with the hall full of children viewing and purchasing from the extensive range of beautiful books. Tomorrow, one of our parents, who is an author, will visit to share the craft of writing with our children. At the end of the week, a parade of favourite book characters will take place. Let’s hope we are able to guess the character! Thanks to staff who have organised the Literacy Week celebrations – Sharon Lomas and the Literacy Team.

A range of Professional Development opportunities have taken place this week. Some staff have visited other local schools to share best teaching practices around Professional Learning Communities. They are keen to implement some of the strategies observed in other schools. The Education State Schools Leadership Conference will take place over the course of the week. Sharon Wildermuth and Sharon Lomas attended today. Leah French and I will attend on Thursday.
