Principal Message

I wish to inform the school community that I will be taking leave during Term Three. Megan Dell, liaison principal for our region will cover my role for the duration of my leave. Megan has been relieving at Kingston Heath Primary School for the past year. Sharon Wildermuth and the two learning specialists will continue in their current roles. During Term Three I will be busy with my daughter’s wedding, baby duties with little Madeleine and spending time at our country property.

In the past few days, Sue Wuttke has informed me that she has accepted a music teacher position in the Catholic System. I will be interviewing in the first week of the school holidays so that the position is filled before school resumes in Term Three. To ensure that the musical is on track, we will need to work closely with parents, staff and senior students. A team of support staff has already been working closely with Sue so I’m sure our production will progress as planned. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Sue for her contribution to our school over the past 18 months.

You may be aware that one of our Year Two students had a convulsion yesterday. It was a frightening experience for staff, students and the parent helper. Parents have contacted the school to inform us that Theo is at home now. He is still unwell but under medical supervision. I have spoken to the grade two children who were present at the time and explained the situation while also answering any questions they asked. Support has been offered to those who were present.

I would like to wish everyone a safe and restful holiday and look forward to seeing you in Term Four.
