The school year has begun smoothly and as I visit classrooms, there is a definite sense that all students are engaged in their learning. Classrooms appear bright and inviting. Teachers are focussing on individual students to ensure the learning needs of each student are addressed. The recent LARGE tour group of prospective parents was very impressed with all that Toorak Primary School has to offer. One mother stated,”I wish I was back at school after visiting this school.” From all reports the “Meet and Greet” sessions have been well attended and informative for all involved. Our new staff members have settled into Toorak Primary School very well, bringing a range of outstanding skills with them. We are incredibily fortunate to have such enthusiastic and dedicated staff to teach our precious children. On the advice of our regional leaders, assembly has been moved to an afternoon time slot. The most effective teaching and learning takes place in the early hours of the school day. With this in mind and following the example of other network schools, we have followed suit.
