Each year we celebrate our teaching, learning and successes by holding an annual report meeting (ARM). All parents are invited to see the results from our previous school year on May 9th.
Our leadership team will present the annual report which will be followed by a short Q&A session with newly appointed Prahran Secondary principal, Nathan Chisolm and special guest presenter, Martine Oglethorpe. Martine is a parent and author of, “The Modern Parent”. She has a background in education and counselling and, is an accredited eSafety instructor. Martine’s session will focus on having the right discussions, boundaries and strategies that will help young people to make the best decisions online.
This presentation will cover:
– what kids are doing online
– what apps are they using? And are they safe?
– coping with inappropriate content
– keeping video games under control
– privacy and predators
– online reputation and a positive digital footprint, and creating effective screen time boundaries.
Our evening will begin at 6:30 pm with the Annual Report followed by our guest presenters from 7 pm for a one hour presentation. If you require your children to be supervised to attend the evening the teaching staff will run a short junior and senior disco on the night. More information to follow.
