Ski Camp Thankyou and Recap

We would like to thank parents for your support this year in organising students for our recent ski camp. This was the first time many of the students had seen snow, and were eager to jump into their lessons.

Lugging long planks around in restrictive boots upon icy terrain in below freezing conditions was the students first initiation into the skiing community, and something they highly looked forward to each morning and afternoon!

Each student completed around 5 hours on the slopes each day, from perfecting their parallel turns, to attacking black diamonds with Mr Bender and Mr Neville.

Throughout the week, each and every student  developed an enormous amount of perseverance, persistence and resilience. Many of them learnt early, that skiing is a challenging hobby to learn. But by Friday, every student was comfortably riding the chairlifts up Bourke Street with a sense of accomplishment and eagerness to continue.

I encourage all students to remember the sense of achievement they felt after succeeding at a challenging task, and how they never gave up.

Thank you to all the parents who helped and contributed to the various fundraising ventures. The support you provided was invaluable.
