European Handball Gala Day
On Friday May 4 students in grade 5 and 6 went to Fawkner Park for the European Handball Gala Day. Nearly 600 students in our school network participated in this event. We have a couple of teams who remained undefeated and students demonstrated excellent sportsmanship across the day. Well done to our 15 teams who entered the competition.

District Cross Country
Congratulations to the 45 students who were selected to represent Toorak Primary School at the District Cross Country on Friday May 18 at Fawkner Park. We had a number of students compete in what turned out to be rainless conditions…thank goodness! A special mention to Josie who came first in her age group in what can only be described as a nail biting victory and also to Lily Wallace who came third in her age group. Grayson and Josie both received medals for their commendable efforts setting wonderful examples and encouraging others. Students who placed in the top 8 will continue onto the zone/regional level in the coming weeks.

At the last minute I rushed through the final races and reduced their distance due to rain, putting our event ahead of schedule by 15 minutes. I sincerely apologise for any parents/parent reps who made the effort to get time off work and attend our event or specifically requested the timing of events that were consequently inaccurate. I’m sorry to have inconvenienced anyone.
