Student Leadership

Toorak Primary School's student leadership program reflects our school motto 'inspire and achieve'.
Students develop their skills through a range of leadership opportunities such as:
• School Captains
• School Vice-Captains
• House Captains
• Sports Captains
• Arts Captains
• Environment Captains

Each year, students are elected from Year 6 to take on these special leadership roles. Responsibilities include chairing meetings, speaking at assembly, organising lunch-time activities, assisting with whole school activities, taking tours of the school and being role models for younger students. Grade 5 and 6 students participate in a Leadership Program at the beginning of the year to develop skills in public speaking, time management, decision making, organising and leading a team.

Students from Grades 1 to 6 are elected to represent their class on the Junior School Council or Green Team.
