The Great Book Swap

As part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations we will be holding the Great Book Swap at Toorak Primary School to raise money for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. The Indigenous Literacy Foundation aims to improve literacy levels in remote Indigenous communities. We are seeking donations of second hand children’s books that are in good condition for this important event. Collection points for the book donations will be outside the office, at the entrance to the Library and outside Miss Segrave’s (1E) Classroom.

The Great book Swap will be held on Thursday the 20th of June. On this day students can bring a gold coin donation and swap it for one of the donated books. We will also be holding a book lucky dip on the day where students may have the chance to win 1 of 5 Golden Tickets. Each Golden Ticket winner will get a $20 Scholastic book voucher.

If you would prefer to donate directly to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, please use this link and it will take you directly to the Toorak Primary School donation page (please note you do not need to fill out the RSVP section on the donation page).
