Volunteers

Community volunteers play a vital role in the successful implementation of our classroom literacy and numeracy program. They also assist us with our sustainability, health and arts programs.

Volunteers are involved in a training program and are police checked before being assigned to assist in classrooms. The training program covers: confidentiality, occupational health and safety, rights and responsibilities and an outline of how literacy and numeracy are taught in the classrooms.

Over the years Toorak Primary School has recruited many volunteers from the local community. Their expertise and experience are a valued resource that students benefit from.
