Channel 10’s weatherman Mike Larkan created a real storm at TPS on Monday night! Lots of families and teachers attended the night to be part of Mike Larkan’s live weather crosses. Everyone was so enthusiastic waving to the camera and cheering. Even TPS’s own chooks got a starring role!
In between the segments, Mike happily answered questions from parents and children and he was interviewed by TPS’s own news.
Thank you to all the Grade 2 students who made the fantastic water wise posters and the Grade 4’s who did the big “Welcome Mike to TPS” banner all of which created a terrific backdrop to the segments. Thank you to the teachers who made those things happen.
Big thanks to George Ainjami (Lily’s dad) from Coles who donated 400 sausages plus the bread, tomato sauce and other bbq essentials. George along with Stuart (Agatha’s dad), Matt and Sarah (Mali’s parents) did a fantastic job turning the sausages and feeding the hungry hoardes.
And now…drum roll, please… we raised $553.35 from the gold coin donations from the bbq which will go towards TPS’s new greenhouse. This is a great effort.
There is a jar at the front desk if you missed the night and want to donate some small change to TPS’s greenhouse which is a Green Team initiative.
