Werribee Zoo

Grade 2 recently visited Werribee Zoo as part of their life cycles and habitats.

Whilst at the Zoo, students visited the Bandicoot Hideout where they learned about native Australian animals including the Bandicoot, Tawny Frogmouth and the Sugar Glider. Students discussed how habitat is an important part of ensuring that these creatures survive – and they were tasked with finding suitable habitat (including shelter, food and water) for the Australian Bandicoot to survive.

Students also took the Safari Bus which took them on journey through different environments and the creatures that inhabit them. In the pictures, you can see the giraffes sitting in something – What is it? And why do they sit in it?
