What’s Your Story? Writing Competition Stonnington Libraries

Held annually by Stonnington Libraries since 2012, What’s Your Story? celebrates creative writing and storytelling within the City of Stonnington.

Budding and experienced writers are encouraged to submit their stories, poems and creative writing. We welcome submissions from Stonnington young people aged 5 to 18 years who live or go to school in Stonnington.

Entries must be submitted online. All entries must be received by 11.59PM on 31 August.  Late entries will not be accepted.

Winning entries from each category will be announced at the launch of [untitled] Literary Festival on 18 November 2021.

Categories and Prizes

Creative story writing, 5 to 12 years

For: Young people aged 5 to 12 years who live or go to school in Stonnington.
Guidelines: 500 word limit.  The entry can be fiction or inspired by real events experienced by the author.
Prize: $150 book voucher.

For: Young people aged 13 to 18 years who live, work or go to school in Stonnington.
Guidelines: 750 word limit.  The entry can be fiction or inspired by real events experienced by the author.
Prize: $250 book voucher.
