While nothing is expected, many children have been asking what they can do during the holidays to maintain and improve their French. This is wonderful! To support their interest, I thought I would send a little note to remind you of the resources the school provides and suggest some activities that may interest them (and you!) over the summer and beyond.
For Junior students, I have left some videos on their Seesaw Classrooms, and nothing helps language comprehension like repeated listening. There are songs and a cartoon of “Le Magicien d’Oz”. Senior students have resources on their Google Classrooms.
In addition to this, please check out the NGV, they have Gabrielle Chanel couture and also Sévres porcelain exhibitions. You can always watch a French film together or enjoy French cuisine to practise your pronunciation (well, that’s MY excuse!) Bonnes Vacances!
