In recent weeks, students have been so excited to bring in and share their personalised Readers Notebook! It is evident that students put a lot of thought and care into their books, so much that they can’t wait to use them everyday!
We begin our reading everyday with 15 minutes of Independent Reading which “offers the opportunity for students to develop tastes as readers and to read a large number of self-selected books on their own. ” (Fountas and Pinnell)
We Are Researchers!
We have just started our projects on mammals and reptiles. Students have selected an animal and are eager to research in their groups. Once our research has been done, we will be creating a diorama for our special chosen animal!
