Welcome to Physical Education 2018. By way of reintroduction my name is Jennifer White and I am coordinating PE at Toorak Primary School after being in the role in 2011. I’m happy to return after spending the last two years teaching in Darwin and London.
In PE we have commenced the term by looking at how good sportsmanship, fun, participation, trying our best and safety are important in PE. We have been using the example of the Winter Olympics, the Olympic spirit and the Jamaican bobsleigh team as examples of this. Please see photos from some of our activities this week, including our Olympic torch relays, ordering the Olympic rings and Jamaican bobsleigh time trials…helmets included!
The first major event of the year is the House Swimming Carnival (grades 3-6) which will be held on Monday Feb 19 at the Prahran Pool.
