Foundation 2025 Enrolment

To start Foundation in 2025, your child will need to turn 5 years old by 30 April 2025. Schooling is compulsory for children who have turned 6 years old.

What you need to do:

  1. Use Find my School to determine if Toorak Primary School is your neighbourhood school. If your residential address falls outside our school boundary, please contact the office to discuss enrolment.
  2. Book a school tour to learn more about our school and the enrolment application process.
  3. Request an enrolment form to be emailed, or collect an enrolment form from our office. The following documents will need to be supplied with your enrolment – a current Australian immunisation register statement, birth certificate or passport, evidence of residential address and an Australian entry VISA if applicable.
  4. Download the ‘Foundation (Prep) Enrolment Information Pack for Parents and Carers.’ The pack will be available from Monday 15 April 2024.
  5. Submit an enrolment application for Foundation (Prep) to toorak.ps@education.vic.gov.au by Friday 26 July 2024.
  6. You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 29 July and Friday 9 August 2024. If you receive an enrolment offer, you should accept the offer by Friday 23 August 2024.
  7. Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions during Term 4, 2024.

Enrolment applications submitted after 28 July 2023 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Placement Policy.

Enrolment Grade 1 to Grade 6

If your child is in Grade 1 to 6 and you would like to enrol at Toorak Primary School, please contact the school on 9827 2959 or complete an expression of interest form and email to toorak.ps@education.vic.gov.au.

Additional Enrolment Documentation:
For Australian born students, we require a current immunisation certificate and an original birth certificate. For international born students, we require a passport, current Visa Sub-Class and an immunisation certificate. Please note, students holding certain types of visas may need to be enrolled via the International Student Unit. Email international@education.vic.gov.au for more information.

School Zone
Our school zone is available on  findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.

Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.

Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places.For more information, you can:
