Digital Literacy

Toorak Primary School runs regular Digital Literacy lessons across F-6, in addition to incorporating Digital Literacy and technologies across all areas of the curriculum. The classes focus on a variety of digital technologies and skills, with a link to the language and literacy that accompanies them.

Our 3-6 students participate in a Windows Netbook program and incorporate Google Apps such as Docs, Slides, Sites, Sheets and  Google Classroom across the curriculum. In addition, our students have access to Robotics, iPads,  Coding Programs and Cyber Safety lessons. Our 5-6 students also have the opportunity to film the School News, learning editing, streaming and Green Screen skills.

Our F-2 students have a large collection of iPads in each year level, with ample opportunity to use these devices in a variety of classes and settings. In addition, the junior students have access to the SeeSaw platform, which is utilised across all curriculum areas. Our junior students also have lessons incorporating coding skills, robotics, scripts, basic video skills, and cyber safety.
