SpftballIt’s been a busy week for the Senior School sports teams! Toorak Primary sent 4 teams to the Beachside Divisional tournaments this week; 2 teams to basketball on Monday and 2 teams to softball on Tuesday!
Mr Neville accompanied the students to Dandenong where Toorak’s basketball teams competed with other teams around the district. The boys fought valiantly, and managed to win 2 games out of the 4 they played, a strong showing for our boys! The girls also played 4 games, and managed to run the table with 4 consecutive victories! Their incredible success has earned them the opportunity to compete at the state level later in the term! Well done to both basketball teams.
On Tuesday, the boys and girls softball teams travelled to Duncan Mackinnon Reserve where they played in their Softball competition. The boys unfortunately came out on the wrong end of two very close games, but made some spectacular plays on the day. The girls, a team only formed a few weeks ago, came together in extraordinary fashion and convincingly won their Grand Final match and qualified for the Metro competition, to be held in Frankston later in the term.
