Cake Lotto – Time to Sign Up and Get Involved!!
For families who are new to the school, Cake Lotto is a great fundraising activity which occurs on a weekly basis at our Friday assembly. Families volunteer to bake a cake and raffle tickets are sold in the later part of the week in the school yard for a chance to win the cake. The winner is announced at assembly. This year for Cake Lotto, we are going to do things a little differently to spread the load and try to encourage more families to be involved in a small way. We have allocated each year level one week (in the case of Foundation and Grade 1, two weeks) for parents from that year level to sell cake lotto tickets. We are asking that two families each week put their hand up to assist. The time commitment is minimal – arrive at school at about 8.30/8.40, collect the equipment from the office (you don’t have to wear the ‘uniform’ if you don’t want to!!) and wander around the playground selling tickets. Co-opt your children to assist– they love it! This year we will be using EFTPOS machines and not selling tickets on Qkr, which will make the whole process much faster.
