The Federal Election is on 2 July, the middle weekend of the school holidays. The school is being used as a polling place, and so we will be taking the opportunity to raise some money by running an election day sausage sizzle.
We know that many families will be away, but if you are able to help out for an hour on the day (maybe after you vote!), that would be fantastic. This is an event that the older children are also able to help with – passing out the food and taking money. The volunteers will:
- cook the sausages
- sell food and drink
- keep things organised – preparing bread and serviettes, tidying up
