Grade 1 Excursion to Melbourne Zoo

Recently both Grade 1 classes headed  to the Melbourne Zoo for our Term 3 excursion. After exploring and running around with the Lemurs for a while, we had some lunch and got up close with a few friendly creatures. Looking at different animals has helped us with our Literacy topic of information report writing. Here are some comments from Grade 1 students:

‘My favourite part of the excursion was all of it. My favourite animal was the hippopotamus’- Sam (1A)

‘I liked watching the lion. It was funny when it roared at us’- Sarah (1B)

‘I enjoyed when I saw the gorillas and I saw the Silverback going into the bush. I saw the silver on his back’- Hudson (1B)

‘I liked patting the snake and watching the meerkats’- Ella (1A)
