Hooptime Regional Finals

On Monday this week, two Toorak teams headed down to MSAC to complete in the Regional Hooptime Finals. Both teams had qualified by winning the Hooptime Gala Days earlier this year. The Toorak Taipans were a mixed team from Grade 4 and they did a great job. They won all their games for the day which means they finished top of their pool and made it through to the Grand Final. The Toorak Thunder were a mixed team comprised of Grade 3 students. They won 2 of their games for the day meaning they finished third in their pool. After a day of outstanding play, both teams had qualified for finals and looked like a strong chance to make it though to the State Hooptime Finals.

Unfortunately as it goes with many sporting fairy tales this was not to be the case. The two Toorak Primary School teams were matched up against each other in the Grand Final. This meant that only one Toorak team would make the State Hooptime Finals.

Both teams fought hard in a very close game. However there could only be one winner. On the day the Toorak Thunder came out on top which means the Grade 3 team will be heading off to the State Hooptime Finals on November 24.

Congratulations to both teams and best of luck to the Toorak Thunder in their upcoming competition!
