August 29th Curriculum Day
Our school will be having a Mathematics Curriculum Day. Staff will be participating in professional development with Dr Andrea McDonough, Senior Lecturer in Mathematics Education from the Australian Catholic University. The focus will be on developing open ended problem solving tasks and real life investigations. This is a pupil free day. The next Curriculum Day is in term 4 on the last day of school, December 20th.
August 31st Open Evening
As part of the National Literacy and Numeracy Week, Toorak Primary will be celebrating through an Open Evening. The invitation is extended to all parents who would like to come along and see their children’s classrooms and participate in some hands on, fun activities. More details will be sent home in an invitation on Friday.
