Assembly

In consultation with staff as well as feedback provided by parents, weekly assemblies have been altered to cater for the inclement winter weather conditions. Rather than miss assembly, it has been decided to alternate the weekly assemblies to be held in the school hall. A rough schedule will be provided on the Blog. However, each week a decision will be made by 8.30 as to whether the assembly will be inside with Junior or Senior students or outside for all students. A decision by 8.30 is required to allow time to set up the PA equipment. We hope the interruption to our whole school assembly will be a rare occurrence over the coming weeks.

Basketball Court

It is with great pleasure and excitement that we announce the construction of the new basketball court over the school holidays. All asphalt areas will be covered in synthetic turf with the line markings replaced. There will be tennis, basketball, four square markings and some alphabet games for the younger students. It will look wonderful and will help to avoid scratched knees and legs. Thank you to the basketball community for supporting the project both financially and in spirit. Also a huge thankyou to our wider school community for their fundraising efforts over the past two years and for their generous contribution to the project.

School Traffic

I urge all school visitors, when dropping off and picking up children, to model respectful behaviour towards each other and our neighbours. Please also exercise caution when driving around the school for the safety of our young students. Thank you to our Action Group – Dominique Hunter and Frances Kilgower who have been working to gather information from the school community in an attempt to work with Stonnington Council for a solution to traffic congestion around the school.
