Principal Message

Since the assembly tomorrow will be for the senior school, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all families a very happy and safe school holiday period. Students will be dismissed at 2.30. School resumes on Monday July 16th.

The dodgeball event between students and staff yesterday was a fiercely contested game. In the end staff won! Students and staff alike cheered their teams from the sidelines. With a sausage in hand, many students welcomed the opportunity to wave and chant messages of encouragement. Thank you to Miss Robinson and the Junior School Council for organising the event. Thank you to all staff who assisted with setting up equipment. George Ajaimi father of Lily in 3B generously provided sausages for the bbq, funds from which contributed to the water tanks for East Timor.

Grade Four families and teachers enjoyed a wonderful night of celebration last night to conclude their unit of study on sustainability. Our hall was filled with 120 students and families enjoying a delicious array of fine foods . Thanks once again to our school families and local businesses who provided goods and food preparation for the function. Mr Papatua father of Ava in 4A and Lilah in FD, Toscanos of Hawksburn and Wood Frog Bakery all provided produce for the evening.

Basketball court construction will begin over the holidays. Let’s hope that the weather is kind to us so that the new synthetic surface is ready for our return on July 16th.

Happy Holidays Everyone!
