Principal Message

Special requests for 2018 classes have now closed. Teachers have received all emails to ensure that requests are considered when placing students into their 2018 classes. I would like to reiterate that requests will be considered but not guaranteed. Currently, final arrangements are taking place to ensure staff, classroom locations and class groups are ready for the new school year to begin.

We have very good news regarding our 2018 double storey classrooms. I have spoken to Grove project manager Anthony Gigli who has confirmed that the toilet block will be relocated on the weekend of 9/10 December.  Classrooms will be removed through the prep playground on Monday December 11. Large sections of the playground will be unavailable for use during the last three weeks of term. We anticipate having a range of indoor activities to relieve pressure on the school’s play spaces. The two grade four classes affected by building works will relocate to the hall for the remainder of the school year.

I thank you in anticipation for your understanding regarding this disruption. The intention is to be as flexible as possible, thereby allowing building works to take place at this stage of the year and over the school holiday period so that four new classrooms are ready for next year.

We are very fortunate to have so many modern teaching and learning spaces available at Toorak Primary School.
