Term 3 Yipee!!

This term in Reading, Foundation students are working on picking “good fit” books. An important part of becoming a successful, independent reader is being able to choose “good fit” goods. That is, a book that is not too easy or too difficult, but “just right”. Every reading session starts off with 5 minutes silent reading, which is designed to build our reading stamina. In our reading groups, students also have the chance to also read to a partner. This skill increases reading involvement, attention and collaboration.

Students are loving reading to someone, and why not, they have a friend with them, who will listen to them and discuss their reading!
