Tuckshop News

With school starting up again for 2017, it’s time to start organising tuck shop. This is a volunteer-run program that delivers healthy, nutritious, freshly cooked and most importantly delicious meals on intermittent Fridays , roughly every fortnight which will show up on the school calendar.

Term 1 dates and specials are:

3 March – muesli slice and herb roasted chicken and couscous salad

17 March – chocolate mousse with a fruit compote and Pasta Bolognese

31 March – mini cheese pizza’s no lunch special

Ordering of meals is performed via the Qkr app with lunch orders opening for ordering the Monday the week prior to tuck shop (i.e. 10 school days before the Friday that tuck shop is on). Click here for QkR handy hints How do I use the calender display when placing food orders, How do I cancel food orders that have already been paid, How can I be sure my childs’s food order has been received by the school.

Tuck shop meals are prepared palm oil free, as preservative free as possible, using fresh fruit and vegetables occasionally sourced from the school garden. There are no pork, nut, or lentil products and free range eggs and chicken are used.

To be able to provide this program volunteers are required; no requirement to be able to cook but just help – from preparing to cooking to serving, it’s all hands on deck, no prior experience required…just a smile and enthusiasm!

Volunteer sheets can be found outside the Prep A classroom or via  www.volunteersignup.org/PCTLW

It’s a great way to meet other parents from the school community across multiple year levels.
