Welcome to all school community members for the final term of 2016.
I have been notified by the Department of Education that Toorak Primary School will receive a new a two storey building consisting of four classrooms. Two classrooms will be removed to provide space for the new building. Works are due to begin in December. Hopefully the construction will be completed for the commencement of the new school year. We are very grateful for the extra classrooms which are required for increased enrolments in 2017.
As usual at this time of year, I encourage families to email the school attention to me, if there are special requests to be considered when placing students into classes for 2017. Requests must be received by November 11th if they are to be considered. In the week beginning November 14, staff will meet to allocate students to their 2017 classes based on a series of criteria. Once students have been allocated to a class they will not be moved. Because so many factors are taken into consideration when classes are formed, subsequent changes have a major impact. All requests will be considered but not guaranteed. Thank you for your support in this matter.
