Toorak Primary School welcomes Sebastian Beck, our new Garden and Sustainability Coordinator. Sebastian will work 2 days per week to devise a program which integrates into our curriculum, organic gardening and food production and composting and healthy eating using our very own garden.
The program will give students the opportunity to learn about sustainability, engage in real life learning and observation, experience the benefits of interacting with nature for wellbeing and academic performance, and learn skills that they can take home for life.
Sebastian’s aim is to promote advocates of sustainability and future change by encouraging students to become custodians of the school garden and the environment.
