Wellbeing at TPS – Parent Information/Discussion Groups

Recently we posted a blog to gather expressions of interest for Parent Information/Discussion sessions on all things related to our children’s health and wellbeing.

The proposal was that these sessions will be run by our Well-being Officer, Sara and will be offered on a monthly basis during the school term and will cover topics such as – social media; how to nurture value and worth in kids; true confidence; influence of the media; connection with our children; healthy screen use; parent-child dynamics; the importance of sleep, how to talk to kids about puberty, understanding menstruation and more.

Thank you to all those who responded, it was a fantastic response from our community of parents here at TPS and confirmed that this is a needed and wanted initiative. We asked for preferences in times offering 2 options – a Friday afternoon before pick-up or an evening session. The response showed a very even interest in both time slots.

In response to this, we will run 2 sessions on the same topic before the end of term – an afternoon and evening session.

TOPIC – What is well-being and what does it mean for our children?

DATES – Friday 15th June 2.30-3.30pm & Thursday 21st June 7-8pm
