Year 2- Term 4 Important Reminders

Welcome back to Term 4!

Here are some important notes and reminders for parents of students in Year 2:

  • SWIMMING: Begins this Friday.
    – Please ensure your child has returned their form with information about their swimming abilities ASAP.
    – Payment is due by this Friday. The Excursion Levy note can be found on COMPASS under School Resources.
    – 2A & 2B will depart at 12.40pm and return around 2.30/45pm
    – 2C will depart at 1.10pm and return around 3.15pm.
    – Students not swimming will stay at school.
  • GR 2 SLEEPOVER: Friday 16th October, 7pm.
    – A detailed note was sent home before the holidays.
    – An electronic copy can be found on COMPASS under School Resources.
    – If your child is not planning on attending please inform your class teacher as to reasons why. We wish to encourage every child to attend as this is an important part of the social and emotional development.
  • Toys for History & Science Topic: Cardboard & old toys wanted.
    – In History we will be comparing toys from the past with toys from the present. We would love some examples to create a toy display in the classroom.
    – In Science we will be looking at the mechanisms of different toys and games. The students will be creating a Cardboard Game for our Cardboard Arcade celebration at the end of term.
    – Old boxes and cardboard are needed by each Grade 2 class. Donations will be welcomed!
  • Year 2 Term 4 Newsletter: More reminders, dates & information!
    – This will be up on COMPASS under School Resources by the end of Week 1 at the latest.
    – The Newsletter will contain reminders about all dates for Incursions and Excursions. Again, please go to COMPASS for the TERM 4 EXCURSION LEVY NOTE & make payment at your earliest convenience.
    – The Year 2 TIME-TABLE will also be up on COMPASS under School Resources by the end of Week 1 at the latest. Please note this is subject to change.

Many thanks & please see your class teacher if you have any further questions.

We look forward to a wonderful last term with the Year 2 students!
