Miss Gibson has brought her love of Yoga and meditation into the classroom and is running sessions with the Grade 3 students at 11:30 on Fridays.

Students began today, learning the basic and more common asanas such as down facing dog, warriors, chaturanga and many more. Throughout each pose, ancient stories were told and the muscular and mental benefits were made known to the students. Ava Rose had a go a teaching the class one of her favourite asanas; Vriksha-asana, the tree.

They concluded the session with a shavasanna meditation and reflection. Students commented that they felt extremely relaxed and connected and could not wait for next week.

Please remember to bring a towel, or yoga mat if you would like to partake in next week’s session.
