The art room has been a hive of activity this term.
Children have enjoyed applying a number of skills to make a robot collage. The robot’s background has been created using a texture plate and a pastel resist technique. Line and pattern on black scratch card has created a circuit board design torso. And a variety of paper, cardboard and found objects have created the limbs and head.
The students explored the properties of clay to make imaginative masterpieces. The year 1s used techniques such as rolling, scoring, joining and carving to create beautiful bugs.
The year 2s built on their skills, pinching, rolling, joining and hand building to make fabulous pinch pot creatures.
