As part of our Foundation History Unit, students have been exploring different cultural celebrations!
Such as:
- Divali
- German Lantern Festival
- Chinese New Year
- Tibetian Prayer Flags
Students have been making symbolic representations of these celebrations. We were lucky enough to have four talented Grade 2 girls share their Tibetian knowledge with some of the Foundation students. Tenzin (our Tibetan guru) modelled the traditional ‘chupa’ dress worn on the Dali Lama’s birthday. Maya, Sierra, and Chiara acted as translators, as we learnt words such as ‘Tashi Delek’ (Hello!). Thank you Grade 2 for sharing your knowledge!
