On Monday both Grade 1 classes headed to the Werribee Zoo for our final excursion for the year! We came armed with hats, sunscreen and plenty of water to survive the gloriously sunny day. There were many animals to be seen and everyone enjoyed the bus ride around the park. We got very close to some friendly rhinos and a family of zebras. A huge thank you to all the parents who braved the heat and helped out on the day. We asked some students what they thought about the excursion:
‘My favourite part of the excursion was seeing all of the animals’ -Camilla, 1A
‘My favourite animal was the rhinoceros because they look awesome with their horns. I liked playing on the hippo water playground’ -Henri, 1A
‘I felt happy because I got to see all the animals and I love animals. The lions were my favourite because I like how they roar’ -Luca, 1B
‘My favourite part was patting a real blue-tongue lizard. I liked the lions because they were walking around so we could see them very well’ -Hanna, 1B
