In class maths, Grade 2 students have been working on open ended problem solving.
At the start of the lesson students undertake a challenging task and then work independently to solve the problem. Next students are given enabling prompts to assist their learning and extension prompts as a further challenge.
Students are enjoying the challenges! The teachers have been pleased to see students persisting to find a solution and develop reasoning skills.
