Welcome back to Term 3. I hope you all had a very relaxing holiday.
August 29th to September 2nd is the National Literacy and Numeracy Week. To celebrate this week Toorak Primary will be inviting all families to attend an open night on Wednesday, August 31st. There will be a BBQ available before the classrooms open from 6-7pm. More details will be sent home closer to the date.
Monday, August 29th will be a Mathematics Curriculum Day. This will be a pupil free day. Dr Andrea McDonough, a senior lecturer of mathematics education from the Australian Catholic University will be presenting to our teaching staff new and innovative ways to use and develop open-ended tasks and real life investigations. We look forward to sharing some of these insights with families during the open night.
