Another beautiful day over here in New Caledonia today. Blue skies, warm sun and just a slight breeze to make it very comfortable. We had a slightly quieter day today after the big day yesterday at Phare Amedae.
The students had their first french lesson this morning with one of the local French teachers. It was a great lesson and all the kids were excellent. After the lesson we all went for a short walk up the coast before returning to the hotel to lounge by the pool. A picnic on the beach was organised for the kids and we had baguettes with various fillings. We then had to walk to the local ice cream shop and order our ice creams, in French of course.
After lunch we hoped on the Tchou Tchou Train and got taken for a tour of Noumea. The kids heard all about some of the history and culture of the area before finishing our tour in town. The students got to go and experience changing some AU$ for XPF and then headed to the local supermarket for some snacks.
We are now resting up before dinner at 7pm local time.
